TL'DR - This is the home for all my Comics, Doodles, Cartoons and other crap Cool Content!

I'm Spole, a decrepit homonculus from the UK that has always been into drawing, media production and technology. I've put this website together to try and force myself to learn HTML, and from there perhaps break into more advanced web development.

This website isn't meant to be a glorified CV, it's just somewhere I can post my artworks that isn't some rat-infested social media platform. I work in IT currently and have never really had any kind of formal 'career' in art and illustration nor any university degrees of any kind under my belt; no debt no worries.

I'm still entrenched in the old practices of online culture - i still mourn the slow death of internet forums, and my only prior web dev experience was building a sick website on Piczo in the mid 2000's. Wanted to feel a bit of that nostalgia again and glad i did because building this site was pretty fun even if it is currently quite basic. I am tweaking my own comic reader of sorts which i'll be using later on that's quite cool. Shall have to wait and see.

I think everyone should give building a website a go at some point, modern day social media websites are fucking shit now and just serve to track you and sell you things you don't need. Relinquish I say! Don't shackle yourself to algorithmic whims and continue to feed your brain endless amounts of AI generated sludge as it actually has no real benefit to you or your brain whatsoever.

If you're still reading this far, know that this site is for now still under construction. I haven't even really started drawing the comic I plan to host here yet but i do have a lot of the story written and most of the ending fleshed out, but one big reason i've been putting this off is because I hated the idea of posting it all to social media and was waiting to have my own website to drop it all onto...
